A trail of paper lantern clues leads around familiar places at home. Decode each card, collect the letters and bring the little mission to its finish.
Mini indoor clue hunt
Follow the lantern keeper’s indoor trail, collect four card stamps and bring a secret password back to the host.
Move between the safe indoor spots prepared by the host. Find a card, decode its clue and record its stamp on the route sheet. The three decoding tasks use coordinates, a letter path and an alphabet shift. Keep every card for the final instruction.
Read the host guide on page 2 first. Print pages 3–6. Cut out the four cards on pages 4–5 and place them at the table, a reachable window area, a chair and a pillow, following the host guide. Give players mission page 3 and route sheet 6; keep host pages 2, 7 and 8 private. Prepare scissors and a pencil. No climbing, opening windows or physical prize is needed.

Read the mission and work out where the trail begins. Search only the safe spots prepared by the host.
Find each card, decode the next stop and collect its stamp on the route sheet.
Follow the last card’s instruction, assemble the password and bring all four cards back to the host.
Show the host your route and say the password. The host checks it against the solution and reads the final message. A story ending is enough; a prize is optional.
